Looking for a fun, friendly and active summer holiday club in Newcastle upon Tyne? Our Summer Holiday Club at Playtime Paradise Wraparound @ Havannah in the Great Park is back for 2026, with six weeks of themed fun, games, crafts, baking, outdoor play, water play, nature walks, special workshops and plenty of child-led choice.
Some days become busy as the holidays approach, so early booking is recommended.

Summer Holiday Club Timetable 2026
Every week has its own theme, with a special Tuesday workshop, ice cream van every Thursday afternoon and water play every Friday, weather permitting.

Week 1: Around the World 20 – 24 July
We start the summer with a week of activities inspired by different places around the world. Children will enjoy creative activities, themed games, food-inspired fun, outdoor play and challenges that bring a sense of adventure to the start of the holidays.

Week 2: Super Summer Games 27 July – 31 July
Week 2 is all about movement, teamwork and active fun. Children can expect sports, playground games, team challenges, silly games, water play and plenty of opportunities to burn off energy.

Week 3: Mischief, Mystery & Make Believe 3 – 7 Aug
Week 3 is perfect for children who love clues, puzzles, secret missions and imaginative challenges. The week will include mystery-themed activities, spy-inspired games, problem-solving tasks and playful challenges.
Special workshop: Magician, Tuesday afternoon
Week 4: The Greatest Show 10 – 14 Aug
Week 4 brings a colourful mix of circus-inspired fun, carnival-style games, summer fair activities, silly challenges and water play. Children can get involved in playful activities with a lively, showtime feel, while still having plenty of time for free choice and outdoor play.

Week 5: Colour, Create & Make 17 – 21 Aug
Week 5 is our big creative week, with baking, art, craft, rhythm, messy play and colourful activities. It is ideal for children who love making things, trying creative projects and getting hands-on.

Week 6: Wild Summer Adventures 24 – 28 Aug
Our final week brings together outdoor fun, nature-inspired activities, seaside-themed play, water play and a big summer send-off. Children can enjoy a mixture of active games, creative activities, nature links and relaxed end-of-holiday fun.

A holiday club with real choice
Every week has a theme, but our holiday club is not a school-style programme. The themes help make each day feel special, while still leaving plenty of room for free play, friendships and child-led choice.
Children can get involved in planned activities, enjoy Lego and construction, role play, dressing up, board games, puzzles, colouring, crafts and relaxed play. We also aim to get outside as much as possible, using our outdoor space when the weather and the flow of the day allow.
There will also be quieter moments during the day. Holidays can be busy, and we know children sometimes need time to read, play calmly or simply have a slower moment with friends.
